Overview
Digital Portable Recorder for use with the Straight Talk® NE dictation system.
Walkabout Ultra is optimized for use with Dictaphone's Straight Talk NE dictation system, offering flexible and rapid dictation capture and easy uploading of voice files for high efficiency document creation.

The Dictaphone Walkabout Ultra digital portable offers all of the latest dictation features, including automatic Time/Date stamping and the ability to manage voice files in up to four folders (up to eight folders with optional 8 MD memory card).

Folders can be used to clearly identify special dictation such as "Priority Transcription" or to organize by "Work Type". "Digital Insert" lets you record edits or comments directly at the desired location in the voice file for seamless playback.

Advanced compression technology allows minutes of dictation to be uploaded in seconds from the hand-held recorder to the Straight Talk NE system. Voice files recorded on the Walkabout Ultra are easily uploaded either directly at the Straight Talk NE system or via network connected PC--through a standard PC serial port using the supplied interface cable. Large capacity digital flash internal memory plus optional memory cards for increased capacity.
