We are pleased to announce the release of CyberRecorder. The newest member of the CyberWav Suite of Professional Dictation and Transcription solutions. Now you have the opportunity to have an "end-to-end" dictation and transcription solution all from one set of integrated tools.

The old way of doing dictation on an expensive dedicated machine has given way to to taking advantage of the power of existing PCs. Retire those tired old tape machines. Stop worrying about dealing with three different sizes of tape cassettes. This easy to use application is just what the doctor ordered. Just look at the features that have been built into CyberRecorder.

CyberRecorder is a product of years of work to understand the most efficient ways to record dictated reports, and forward them to the correct Transcriptionist. Now thanks to the power found in the Personal Computer, you are able to build a scalable, affordable, dictation system that will meet your needs today as well as tomorrow.

CyberRecorder uses advanced software features to provide you with the most functionallity available today in our cost conscious marketplace. This is accomplished by utilizing PCs that are powerful, yet relatively inexpensive. In many cases the required PC costs less than a dedicated dictate "station". Not to mention that the PC is not "dedicated" to a single task. It can provide other functionality for the user.

CyberRecorder works by recording the dictator's voice onto the hard disk of a computer using a high quality Philips microphone with built-in control buttons. These buttons control all of the functions need for dictation. They include Record, Rewind, Play and Fast Forward. Buttons also allow you to start a new report or change mode with the press of a button.

The voice recording is then digitized (converted to a digital form) and stored on the computers hard disk. Demographic information that is input by the author is stored along with the recorded voice. The demographics may include information about the author, subject, dictation location, time and date, length and more. This information is then set along with the file to the Transcriptionist. If the Transcriptionist is using a compatible software application like CyberPlayer these demographics are available on screen.

When a dictation is completed the file can then be encrypted with the included 128 bit encryption and then sent to the Transcriptionist by way of Email, Local Area Network or across the Internet with the confidence of knowing that the file is safe from prying eyes. When the file reaches its destination the Transcriptionist then uses CyberPlayer to decrypt the file and transcribe it. (NOTE: You must use CyberPlayer to transcribe files encrypted with CyberRecorder.) You can play back the non-encrypted files in many transcription software applications as they are recorded in widely used formats.
